For our Omnichannel backend team, we are looking for 3 developers at different levels; whether you're an experienced senior who enjoys taking a leading role in a team or a talented junior who is driven to grow.

As part of the Omnichannel backend team, where technical expertise in a Service-oriented, API first, and headless tech-stack is the norm. Here, you work side by side with HEMA developers and developers from our partners. Additionally, you have close contact with Product Owners, Business Owners, and colleagues from the Cloud and Infra team. However, your role goes beyond just programming; you help HEMA grow as a tech organization and enable the strategic roadmap.

You will work on challenging projects as well as contribute to building the future-proof backbone of the HEMA Omnichannel IT landscape. Think of a MACH architecture, a complex order management ecosystem, and various business-critical services at the heart of omnichannel. We use modern technologies such as Apache Kafka and KONG as an API management platform. AWS Serverless components, NodeJS/Typescript are currently our weapons of choice.

  • Experience in building and developing software
  • Experience in working in a multidisciplinary team
  • You are familiar with our tech stack: Node.JS, AWS (Kafka is a plus)
  • You work results- and quality-oriented
  • Innovation in your field of work
  • For Senior Developers: Are you a senior developer? Then we expect you to take the lead in the team, have a good sense of Solution Architecture, a strong focus on quality, can effectively structure applications, and maintain an overview in projects.

  • A gross monthly salary ranging from €3500 to €6000 euros, based on a 40-hour workweek.
  • 8% holiday allowance and 30 vacation days based on a 40-hour workweek.
  • A variable bonus that can go up to as much as 14%.
  • 15% employee discount on all your HEMA favorites, discounts on most HEMA insurance policies.
  • A year-end bonus of 4%.
  • A net monthly expense allowance of 45 euros.
  • A solid pension plan for your retirement.
  • For distances of 10 to 30 kilometers between your home and workplace, you'll receive a travel expense reimbursement of 21 cents per kilometer.
